David Openshaw, Managing Director at Freshers Foods Ltd, (also known as Openshaws Snacks), and a stalwart of the local business community has died, aged 76, after battling many illnesses. Born in Prestatyn, the son of James Eric Openshaw, area manager of a chain of abattoirs in North Wales, David Openshaw arrived on the meat scene in 1978 in Wigan with his then business partner, Steve. The Bar & Pub Show   We are exhibiting next week on the 2nd to 4th October at the Bar & Pub Show at Olympia. Find us on Stand WG80 located in West Hall Level 1. Come and sample our great range of pork scratchings and snacks. We will also have Mike Porky Parry’s Scratchings. Saturday 22nd July Talk Sport's Mike Porky Parry is hosting his very own race night for charity. Come down to the Well House Inn in Mugswell, Surrey, at 7pm (first race at 7.30pm). We were recently delighted to welcome radio presenter and talkSPORT legend Mike PORKY Parry to our factory in Wigan. The self proclaimed seeker of truth and justice was making a visit to the North West stomping ground of his youth and grasped the opportunity to see how real PORKY Scratchings are made. The Porkmeister, pictured here with MD David Openshaw, also invited us to be guests at one of “The Two Mikes” theatre shows, which are receiving rave reviews all over the UK.
